The Day of "Fideus Rossejats" is one of the most prominent gastronomic events in L’Ametlla de Mar. Its main goal is to introduce visitors to the local culinary culture, fostering knowledge and interest in our gastronomic tradition. Around a plate of "Fideus Rossejats", at a well-set table, bonds and experiences emerge that often spark a deeper interest in our community and surroundings.

The star dish,"Fideus Rossejats" prepared in the sailor style, is a traditional recipe found both on fishing boats and in coastal homes since time immemorial, reflecting the village’s close relationship with the sea and fishing. The central element of the dish is the fish broth, which provides all the flavor and identity of the sea. Similarly to "arrossejat", another typical dish of maritime gastronomy. "Fideus Rossejats" can be complemented with fish and potatoes, offering a complete and balanced meal.

During the event, around forty amateur cooks showcase to visitors the different ways of preparing "Fideus Rossejats" at the Port of L’Ametlla de Mar. Additionally, a team of professional cooks is in charge of preparing and serving tasting portions throughout the morning, ensuring that no one leaves without having tasted this emblematic fisherman's dish.
