L'Ametlla de Mar will organize the 1st Sea Fair.
The Alguer Beach and the port of L'Ametlla de Mar will be the setting next weekend, June 8th and 9th, for the 1st Sea Fair. A weekend full of nautical activities at special prices, talks, workshops, and environmental exhibitions to highlight the Mediterranean essence of L'Ametlla de Mar.
A total of 10 nautical companies will offer their activities, such as snorkeling, diving, kayaking, boat trips, tuna tours, fishing initiation, raft tours, and jet skis, at special prices on Saturday morning and afternoon, and Sunday morning.
The fishing interpretation center (the old fishers' guild hall) will host the "Mar Viva" project exhibition, jellyfish workshops, and the "Exploration of the Oceans" submarine from the Institute of Marine Science, as well as a talk on the Biosphere Reserve brand of the Terres de l'Ebre, given by COPATE (Consortium of Environmental Policies of the Terres de l'Ebre). In the area of the tents, there will be recycling workshops, marine debris workshops by “Plàncton Divulgació”, and a showcase of crafts related to the sea and recycling. There will also be another tent organized by the "Greenpeace" organization, where they will conduct workshops and explain their projects.
In the area of the current Fishermen's Guild, specifically at the "Guillermos" boats, on Saturday from 10:00 to 10:45, there will be a talk about how octopus is fished in the Cala and the initiatives to conserve the species.
The youngest ones will be able to enjoy the inflatable "Recycle by jumping!" from the Waste Agency of the Government of Catalonia, located in the parking area, throughout Saturday.
